Movement Events show how many pointer movement updates were detected during the test. More events generally indicate that the browser received more movement updates during your test.
Distance
Distance is an approximate measurement of pointer movement inside the testing area. It is useful for comparing test attempts, but it is not the physical distance travelled by your finger.
Maximum Speed
Maximum Speed shows the highest observed pointer movement speed during the test. It can help you compare slow and fast movements, but it should not be interpreted as a standardized touchpad performance rating.
Direction Changes
Direction Changes indicate how frequently the detected pointer movement changed direction. This becomes particularly useful when testing diagonal, circular, and back-and-forth movements.
How to Tell If Your Touchpad Movement Is Working Properly
A normally responsive touchpad should allow the cursor to follow your finger predictably. When you move slowly, the pointer should not repeatedly freeze, jump to an unrelated location, or stop responding without a clear reason.
